Saturday I went to the city with Mackenzie and his family. We did some exploring in Chinatown and Soho, went to the show Memphis, and had a nice dinner near Times Square. I had a great time walking around the city people watching, and the show was wonderful. And it turned out to be a nice day even though the weathermen were calling for a washout. I chose an outfit that would be comfy and cute for a day of walking and unpredictable weather. I loved the pink flannel peaking from behind my denim blouse, and I thought the colors in the scarf complimented it perfectly.
One thing I really admire about New York women is their style. They have a certain laid back confidence needed to pull off just about anything. Whether its making an all out 60's mod outfit look effortless instead of costumey, or making jeans, boots, and a scarf look totally chic, NY women have the swagger to make it look awesome. I try and soak up as much as I can on a visit, hoping some of that city spirit will follow me home.
